When going away to shows, make up the feeds you’ll need for the time away and put them into individual swimming bags/wet bags. They’re easy to get out and carry to the stable so you’ll have a spare hand to hold the morning coffee or to pet your horse. Plus they clean really easy! 🫶🏼

Storing everything in a locker is handy- but sometimes moisture from sweaty/wet leg protectors can be a nuisance. Easy solution: closet moisture absorption packs!

Have you ever thought about renovating your saddle yourself?
Have you ever thought about renovating your saddle yourself? Mine was worn out in several places, especially at the front of the seat and on the knee pads. I tried using an automotive leather steering wheel repair and renovation kit to refresh the color. In the first stage, I removed the top layer of old paint, degreased the saddle, and began applying the color in layers. Finally, I sealed the effect with several layers of fixative. I did all this 2 months ago and so far, the effect is holding up. What do you think? Will you give it a try? :) swipe and see the result👍

Running Braid Tips and Tricks! Let me start by saying I'm no pro at plaiting, but here are my tips and tricks and a short tutorial. To do the traditional braid you have to plait under. You can see the difference in the two pictures (second and third slide) of going under and going over (2 is over, 3 in under). Going over in my opinion is easier, but it never looks as nice because the plait is hiding! What do I mean by this? In the normal plait, you start with the first strand going over, then the third strand going over. With this method, they must go under. Let's go into detail: 1. Start at the top with three strands. Let's call them 1 (left), 2 (middle) and 3 (right). 2. Put strand 1 under strand 2, then put strand 3 under strand 1. They now should be in order 2, 3, 1. Add hair to strand 1. 3. Repeat step two. Put strand 2 under strand 3, then strand 1 under strand 2. Add hair to strand 2. 4. Repeat this method until there is no more hair to add the plait, then finish the plait without adding hair. *TIPS AND TRICKS* - The most important thing is to keep the plait tight, otherwise, it will keep lowering, won't look as good and can fall out when riding. There must be constant tension whilst you are doing it. - The pieces of hair you add should be similar in size, if not the size of the plait will change. - Practice, practice, practice!! The best way to improve is to keep trying! - It's easier to do with a shorter mane! - If it seems difficult first try it over instead of under, once you get the hang of it then try under. Let me know if you have any questions.

Food tips! If your horse spills food next to the bucket or
Food tips! If your horse spills food next to the bucket or if you feed your horse in the paddock with other horses and they want to steal each other's food... This method makes it very easy and simple to feed several horses at the same time. The fact that the horse has the bucket on its head means that it does not waste food next to it and the horse can have its food in peace as it can walk away if another horse comes. On the other hand, you can fix small things while the horse eats. It doesn't take much to make such a bucket. 1: cut off the metal hanger or drill 2 holes in the bucket opposite each other. 2: use a rope or a removable girth from a blanket like I did (the girth makes it more comfortable for the horse and can be easily adjusted in length) 3: fast the rope or grith into the holes (I used strips to fasten the grith). If you use rope, you can advantageously tie knots on it so that you can adjust the length. It is important that when you measure the length that the horse's mule does not touch the bottom of the bucket, but there must be approx 10 cm from the mule down to the bottom, of course it also depends on how much food the horse gets. If the strap is too long, the horse's head can come up over the edge and the bucket will sit down on the neck. If you have a sensitive horse, it is a good idea to get the horse used to the bucket slowly. This can be done for example by holding the bucket with your hands and if the horse moves its head up, you follow with the bucket. The first time the horse gets the bucket on its head, it is a good idea to have them in a halter with a head rope so that the horse does not run off with the bucket in panic. However, they quickly learn what it's all about. It looks very silly, but it is a really good solution. Have fun 😊

We all know that buying larger quantities of supplements
We all know that buying larger quantities of supplements (bulk) is more cost-effective. But what if you only have one or two horses? Supplements, like grain, will spoil and mold in the summer or in hot humid climates. My money saving tip.... still buy "bulk" but divide up and place your supplements in Gallon Ziplock freezer bags and place them in the freezer. Take a bag out as needed. No more moldy supplements in the summer!

!!! SPEND TIME WITH YOUR HORSE!!! I cannot say this enough
!!! SPEND TIME WITH YOUR HORSE!!! I cannot say this enough times! If you are having problems with your horse, if your horse doesn't say hi when you come, when your horse doesn't want to work, when your horse gets annoyed at you... It's because you don't spend time with them What do I mean? Well simple, all you have to do is go visit your horse on days that you don't ride. That's the great thing! Anyone can do this! Wether you have your own horse, lease a horse, or just take lessons you can always go and visit them! This way your horse doesn't immediately associate you with work but more as a companion and a buddy they can trust. You can do anything with the. Either eat lunch with them, just sit with them in the paddock/box, let them graze, cuddle them, give them a groom, teachh them tricks. ANYTHING The amount of people I see that just go to the stables just to ride and then complain that they don't have the same bond as me with my horses is unreal🙄 My horses know that when I come that they will get pampered front the hoof to the ears. Sometimes they get ridden, sometimes we play, sometimes we only do some massage and grooming, sometimes we do trick training, sometimes nothing at all. They love me because they know that they can trust me to give them a break when they need one. Just because I come those extra few times. Do the same!

Worried about the chemicals in store bought fly sprays? Want to save some money by making 5 gallons of fly spray at a time? Want to have fly spray that also acts as an antibacterial? Here’s how to make your own fly spray step-by-step! 1. Use the shopping list above to get all the supplies you will need (not listed is a measuring cup) 2. Gather your ingredients and start with the clean and empty 5 gallon bucket. 3. Add in the ingredients into the bucket with their correct oz amounts listed above 4. Fill the rest of the bucket with fresh water 5. Mix and stir ingredients together 6. Fill your spray bottle (make sure to shake before each use as the Neem oil likes to sit on top) 7. Refill bottle from bucket as needed 8. Enjoy knowing your horse’s fly spray is natural and doesn’t contain harmful chemicals and you can use it as often as you like and even on yourself! *I am located in the United States and am able to get all ingredients and supplies needed from Amazon*
