If you are having problems with your horse, if your horse doesn't say hi when you come, when your horse doesn't want to work, when your horse gets annoyed at you... It's because you don't spend time with them What do I mean? Well simple, all you have to do is go visit your horse on days that you don't ride. That's the great thing! Anyone can do this! Wether you have your own horse, lease a horse, or just take lessons you can always go and visit them! This way your horse doesn't immediately associate you with work but more as a companion and a buddy they can trust. You can do anything with the. Either eat lunch with them, just sit with them in the paddock/box, let them graze, cuddle them, give them a groom, teachh them tricks. ANYTHING The amount of people I see that just go to the stables just to ride and then complain that they don't have the same bond as me with my horses is unreal🙄 My horses know that when I come that they will get pampered front the hoof to the ears. Sometimes they get ridden, sometimes we play, sometimes we only do some massage and grooming, sometimes we do trick training, sometimes nothing at all.
