Snake over poles exercise - I know this doesn't look like
Snake over poles exercise - I know this doesn't look like much BUT... this allows you and your horse to practice bending, possible tighter turns over poles depending on how advanced they are over the poles AND help broaden the chest, loosen the shoulders and improving lateral movements. How to set up: set up a row of poles, double the width (two poles right next to each other on a jump block) raise it cavaletti height off the ground. NOTE* You can start with the poles on the ground to get a feel for how your horse can handle these if they are starting out. Ride or lead your horse in a tight serpentine crossing back and forth across the poles. Aim for your horse to keep the neck low and reaching forward. Enjoy!
