Hi friends! I recently got a great deal on a bridle. I’ve NEVER had new tack to break in. Besides conditioner, is there anything that needs to be applied? I have to stop by Dover this week to get boot conditioner and was going to grab the Passier leather balm. I currently have saddle soap and horseman’s one step.

@Caitlin Allen I did a video which I think is on here using the basalm. I’m very careful with what I put on my leather as everything I own is havanna colour and leather care products can make the leather turn darker. I have only ever used passier basalm or stubben hammanol. This PS product is right up there, possibly better, leaves less residue than those two products

@BrittB im such a snob with my boots and leather care so i totally get it! I didnt know FOR YEARS to not use saddle soap on my Petries. I brought them to a cobbler to get a gusset put in and the guy was like “never do this again because I had to strip so much gunk off your boots which is why they wouldn’t hold polish”. Since then, Im just using water, the petrie color cream, and petrie conditioner since Im traumatized 😂
