Breastplate

What is everyone’s opinion on breastplates? Do you use them? Do you have a five point, a regular? After my accident with war where the saddle had slipped and ended up underneath him due to unfortunate events, I’ve decided to buy a five point breastplate. I’m curious to see what everyone thinks of them since breastplates weren’t used at all around the time I started riding in my area

one horse I use nothing on and the other I have a 5 point martingale. But he is also the horse that must be FULLY dressed to ride, boot, saddle pads , halfs pads, full bridle , bonnets .. and 5 point martingale. I recently purchased the PSOS Toyko Breastplate. My reason for it was not because my saddle slips or anything. I am all about anatomical stuff the PSOS Tokyo Martingale is anatomical. I use the Martingale as a training aid for my young horse. To help him understand communication a bit better.

I use a normal breastplate for jumping my youngster but I also have a dressage one for my other horse
