Weight & balance - the two most important of the aids no
Weight & balance - the two most important of the aids no matter what discipline you do. And if you REALLY wanna test that aid, try riding while standing in the saddle. Youโ€™ll have to be careful to not lose your balance, still remember to use your legs and other aids, AND keep up whatever gait youโ€™re in/get the transitions needed. When you change directions, you might notice where you keep much of your weight as you drift away or find yourself falling back down to sit. Youโ€™ll be SORE after this exercise but its totally worth it to get a check in on your balance, how to fix it, and how your weight is used as an aid Apologies for the quality, took this from an IG video!
