Asymmetrical? Start taking away your stirrups so you have nothing to lean into ๐Ÿ˜

My asymmetry problems have returned and Iโ€™m sure we all struggle with it. For some reason, I love collapsing my ribs and sticking my right shoulder into my ear. Yesterday we started with taking away the left stirrup and having to post the trot. You will VERY QUICKLY learn to not lean or else you will die ๐Ÿ˜‚ I ended my lesson yesterday with no stirrups and trying to post as well as taking the legs off the saddle completely. Pulling my legs out and away stretched my hip flexors but also fixed the symmetry issues as well. Heres some photos from a clinic from two years ago where I had my stirrups taken away! Thats actually how I discovered this exercise. Wearing a patterned shirt will get that asymmetry noticed QUICK.
