Hello everyone. So I have been riding my riding participation Annabell since January and she has been the sweetest pony. However, she is very stiff on her right side. Meaning whenever we switch to the right hand, even when walking a straight line, she bends her neck to the outside and I cannot correct her even when using my inside leg. Of course this is an issue especially when riding a circle. Are there any exercises I can do with her on the ground to help her with this?

@GedvilėM I’ve actually never given her treats from the saddle but maybe I should start doing that from her stiff side! 😆

I’ve seen a video where they hung a small hay net on the side that is stiff. The horse is bending to reach the hay and gets more flexible on that side. Not sure if that really helps though 🤣 Also, I noticed that riders like to give treats to horses from saddle but only on one side. Perhaps you do that too? I suggest alternating sides. Also, a vet might be a good call, if the issue keeps coming up. Best of luck! 🥰
