Hey! I'm hoping to start applying for some sponsorships from several horse brands that would fit well in my horse life. This is my first time though, so I want to make sure I get everything as right as I can beforehand. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge/tips/suggestions?

@Toni "Ask for a statement" as in ask for a statement of how a company already given a sponsorship is benefitting from the sponsorship? And thank you, all your advice is great!!! And, yes, I will absolutely post a success story should I be fortunate to have one!

Getting sponsors is not easy. Many brands today are spammed with hopeful requests, so you need to be very well prepared before reaching out. A proper business plan must be present, what is the return on investment for their side sponsoring you. Show your reach on social media and other channels, which audience can they expect to acquire from sponsoring you. Is it within their segments of verticals and interest, age groups, personas, ability to purchase etc. Sending random messages will probably get you nothing. If you already are sponsored by one, share a success story with your prospects and ask for a statement as this can be very useful.
