Hey guys 👋 I’ve been interested in equine vet things for a while and I was wondering if any of you knew more about regenerative equine medicine? Like for example what are your thoughts on it, do you think that stem cell therapy can help or not help most horses, what kind of new treatments would you be willing to try, and just opinions on the matter or information would be a great help! I hope this is as interesting to you as it is to me! Also if you have any suggestions on ways for me to get more education on these kinds of topics that would be great thank you for your time 😊

My horse had a breakup of his frontleg ‘s tendon ( at 80%) we had to wait for 4 months until the healing inflammation went , then the vet proceeded to a PRP ( similar to IRAP KateS comment) . It enables a better dispatch of the tendon fibers recovery. A second PRP (plasma rich in blood platelets) finally was not needed. This treatment helped a lot the whole tendon to recover . When there is a lesion or several lesions ( because of a tear) they are not recovering at the same time and not at the same level , this injection enabled the tendon to recover stronger in its whole part and to carry out better the weight of the leg .
