Hey I wanted to ask if anyone had any tips on how to help a lame horse heal quicker? My horse is just miniscule lame but I had planned to go to a comp in two weeks and I need him to be clean. Any tips? I obvi won't force him to heal quick but if I can help it be quicker it's always better!

This entirely depends on the cause of lameness (which wasn’t really touched on), if it’s from stone bruising it could probably be doable by then, same with if it’s stiffness from overworking, a magnesium supplement could help. If it’s something more serious, unfortunately for your calendar the best thing is rest and treatment, there is absolutely no point in rushing a recovery for one competition if it’s going to compromise future soundness. Without knowing what the cause of the lameness; cold therapy, hosing the area (stimulation promotes blood flow = healing), light therapy (particularly redlight), magnesium (aids muscle soreness), and rest with hand walking/light exercise are the best “generic” treatment advice

Depends on what caused the lameness, but one thing that does help is Bemer treatment, and hot/cold compressions and uptite poultice or ice tight. And also infared lazer or red light treatment
