Hi! I have found some joy again in doing pole exercises with my dressage horse 😊 We also have some cavelletti's at the stables, so I tried introducing him to some raised trot poles, but he didn't seem to get it. How can I best introduce them to him? It goes well when I do them in canter.

One way is to do them on the floor and then slowly out them up. You can also start with only every second one up etc. Or the best way in my opinion is to do 3 or 4 on the floor and then 1 or 2 up off the floor and then slowly put the ones on the floor up so it's 2 to 3 on the floor and 2 to 3 off. Then 1 to 2 on and 3 to 4 off until all of them are off the floor

I could recommend You to watch some I. Klimke clinics on Youtube where she works with horses who are not used to cavalletti.
