My mare gets really anxious when trying to do a flying change and runs out of my hand or puts her head up. Does anyone have any tips that may help me?? 🙏🏻😅

serpentine Make a line wherever you ride. and put down cones or some sort of obstacle circle into your line with your inside leg , outside rein. Come into it counter clockwise. when you get to your next cone use your outside leg and inside rein to make the sift of leads on your 3rd cone sift again to inside leg outside rein , circle back with your outside leg and inside rein. It takes some time but keep it at walk for a week or so. Then up it to trot , then canter you should have a good working flying lead change within a few weeks

Also, make sure she’s going nice and forward before you ask her for a flying change, that way she has more momentum, hope this helps 💗
