You can learn a ton from both! I've been riding and training young horses (with the help of professionals) most of my life since I could not afford riding the experienced ones, at least now I have a great seat to say the least haha. Three years ago I got the opportunity to start riding a 16yo which was a dream and I have leant so much from him! Now our journey is coming to its end and it's time for me to get back to the youngsters. While I am looking forward to it, I will forever miss this horse that taught me so much in both dressage and jumping!
