Which Martingale or Breastplate suits me and my horse?

I am very lost on which Martingale or Breastplate would suit me and my new horse the best. Does anyone know which one is best for what type of horse?

A martingale stops the horse from launching it's head up so it's usually seen on spicier horses that tend to bolt, spook, buck, etc. a breastplate is mainly to keep the saddle from slipping back but you can also find it on younger/ greener horses for some extra security when they do sudden moves!
